I'd like to paint this photo. Does anyone know is this Manhattan Beach or Hermosa?
Sister Sarah and
Susan P. say it's Manhattan Beach.
Love the composition.

I painted two paintings during my California visit. I couldn't resist the bright colored corner in "Belmont Park, San Diego", and I was directed to an amazing overlook at the edge of a cliff where I painted "Arroyo Beach, Santa Barbara"
.

TRAVEL PHOTO - Below is my favorite beach in the world,
Trunk Bay in St. John in the U.S. Virgin islands. I've painted
here many times -the sand, the colors of the sea are amazing.
Almost three-quarters of St. John belongs to the National Parks
and there are great hiking trails. I started two new paintings
in Cruz Bay and will be completing them any day now.

Martha Graham said "We look
to Dance to impart the sensation of living
in an affirmation of life, to energize
the spectator into keener awareness of
the vigor, the mystery, the humor,
the variety and the wonder of life."
This is true for the Visual Arts as well.

QUOTE
A beginning white water rafter will often focus on the rocks, attempting to get around them but not knowing how, often ending up swimming, wet and scared. An experienced rafter, by contrast, will ignore the rocks, looking instead for the flow line of the water moving far ahead. By following that flow, focusing on it , as the water moves in an endless stream around the rock, the experienced rafter successfully navigates through the dangers.
