ABOUT THIS BLOG
Writings about my love of painting… the joy of being amidst the beauty that surrounds us… and sharing my love of travel and exploration.
On my Painting Road Trip to Florida last December, I visited the St. Louis Art Museum, hiked to a waterfall, played Frisbee Golf on Tybee Island, saw the amazing Squares of Savannah, walked the Christmas-lit streets of Mount Dora, camped on the beach at Fort de Soto, painted three paintings, and ended my Road Trip at the Crystal Bridges Art Museum. See a list of 15 Travel Tips at the end of this blog.
We had perfect weather for this year’s BCAW painting event in mid-September. And even with Covid, we had 50+ artists sign up to participate. All of us are so grateful to Alex Hamil for putting on the event again this year. It is such a joy to get together with other plein air artists and paint.
I built my first website for annegarneypaintings.com in 2001 and times have changed! My old site was on dark gray background and the paintings always showed too small. Also, because of changing tech, I haven’t even been able to access it for some time.
