Painting Notes:
I wanted to paint a view of the new Kansas City Skyline with the performing arts center.  And the view I wanted could not be seen from the ground. I wanted the relation and the proportion of the new building to be just so.  So, a painter friend, Greg and I, went knocking on doors asking permission to paint on their roof.  Faultless Linen at 19th & Broadway had the perfect view and they were kind enough to let us paint on the roof of their six story building. I visited and painted many days on this view - it was very peaceful in the middle of this urban setting.
